Aspen Hotels of Alaska

Aspen Hotels of Alaska began operations in Alaska in 1999 with the opening of its first hotel in Juneau.  Months later after the purchase of the Valdez Village Inn, it was completely remodeled and rebranded as an Aspen Hotel.  In 2009 with six hotels throughout Alaska, 5 Aspens were purchased by Extended Stay Hotels of America leaving only the Soldotna Aspen Hotel in their portfolio.  But with a love of Alaska and a confidence in the Alaskan economy, the leadership team decided to continue building.  Today, there are six Aspen Hotels in Alaska with properties in Anchorage, Kenai, Soldotna, Juneau, Haines and Sitka.  Aspen Hotels of Alaska employs approximately 120 Alaskans year round and is active in the Alaska travel industry and in resource development organizations to support and protect the economy of Alaska.
